PRICE COMPUTING SCALES

If you are a retailer, farmer, or have a deli, price computing scales will calculate the price of the product you are selling based on the weight of the item.  It eliminates the guesswork when determining product costs and gives accurate pricing on products like fruits, vegetables, candy, or bakery goods.  You will need a Legal for Trade (NTEP*) scale when selling items based on the weight (in most cases).  Legal for Trade scales are approved weighing machines to be used primarily in businesses that sell products by weight.  The following price computing scales are available from scalequip.com and are Legal For Trade!

PORTION CONTROL SCALES

Portion Control scales have a variety of applications, but the primary function is to aid the chef/cook/kitchen in determining precise measurements of ingredients when preparing their culinary creations.  A portion control scale typically doesn’t require “Legal for Trade” status, but if you’re packaging products for sale based on their weight (bags of spices, etc.) it would be a very good idea to use a scale with this certification.  High-end pizzerias use this type of scale to ensure their creations are the same every time, whether the store owner or the new employee builds the pizza.  This ensures consistency and guarantees the business can provide the same quality product to their customers, day after day.
